Nursery

My parents came to Arizona with us and helped us move in to our new home. The second week they were here my mom painted a mural on one of the walls in the babies room. It turned out beautiful. Seth and I are very happy with it. We decided to go with a Mother Goose theme.

Baby Girl Kearns

I had a doctors visit about two weeks ago and they do an ultrasound at every visit.  Because I'm having twins, instead of using a Doppler to hear heart tones they just do an ultrasound. Well, our baby girl was in the right position to snap a picture. Our baby boy decided to play shy, so no picture of him. Now that they're getting bigger, I'm not sure we will get anymore pictures of them until they are born. As you can see in the picture, her brother is squishing her.

31 Weeks

31 weeks yesterday and becoming more miserable. Seth and I think I grew overnight. My belly is sticking out even more. I'm quickly going back to that stage of not sleeping well, needing to urinate all the time, and just feeling uncomfortable in just about any position. The doctor seems to think if I rest and take it easy from here on, I should be able to carry the twins to 37-38 weeks. The problem is taking it easy. Seth and I just moved in to our new home in Mesa and and there is still work to be done. Maybe it's the nesting stage. I have this overwhelming desire to make sure things are organized and clean. Thank goodness for my parents. They have been a life saver during this move

29 weeks at provo lake

29 weeks yesterday and moving along just fine. I seriously feel like I am big enough and yet I have two months left. People keep telling me I look great and that they can't believe I am carry two, but I think they're just being nice.

Seth and I went boating with the family yesterday for one last time this summer. We move to Mesa in two days. I can't believe it's finally here. We have been in limbo for two months. As hard as it may be to leave family and friends here in Utah, Seth and I are looking forward to moving into our new home, getting settled, and starting our lives in Arizona. I'm at the point now that I just want to get things moved and somewhat settled before the twins are born.

28 Weeks

I've made it to my third trimester. The babies are doing well and developing as they should. According to the doctors, no concerns at this time.
Seth and I closed on our house this last week, so we are officially home owners in Mesa, AZ. We move on July 1st. Even though it's going to be really hot, it will be nice to be in our own home and get things situated before they are born. At this point we are praying that I make it 37 weeks. Seth leaves on July 26th for global training with Biosense Webster for 3 weeks and will only be home on weekends.  We both would just die if he wasn't present for the birth of our twins. Especially since they are our first.

Baby shower

The Kearns: Cassidy (sister-in-law), Donna (mother-in-law), Kelly and Adam (sister-in-law and nephew), and Cat (sister-in-law). Kelly, Donna, and Cat traveled long distance to be at the baby shower. It was so wonderful to see all of them and to share this joyous moment with them.

Baby shower

This baby shower was given to me by my sister and mother. It was so wonderful. They did such a good job on decorations and food. We had a good turnout and the gifts were amazing. These two little ones have a great start on clothes, diapers, toys, etc. My mom and my sister have gone far and beyond and have given these twins some wonderful gift. I am so grateful to them. I couldn't ask for a better sister or mother.

Boy

I am a boy

Girl

I am a girl

23 !/2 weeks

I am 23 1/2 weeks along and according to my doctor, doing well. I still feel like I am getting bigger every week. However, everyone keeps saying I look great and I look small. I think they're just humoring me and trying to make me feel good about myself and my growing baby bump. I've been feeling pretty good. Mornings are hard on me. I tend to get lightheaded, fatigue, and many times feel as though I am going to pass out. But once it passes, I do pretty good throughout the day. I still don't sleep very well at night and I think my body is learning to adjust to lack of sleep. I'm being prepared, I guess, for what's to come.
